My digital life and experience

My memory of the media is that it's interesting and informative, but sometimes it's hard to tell the truth from the falsehood. The media expose people to a wealth of diverse information. Through television, the Internet or books, we can instantly learn about distant culture, history, scientific discoveries or social hot spots. And we are not only the recipients of information, but also the participants. For example, to participate in comments after seeing a funny video, or even create imitation videos, and interact with friends or netizens, which bring us more interesting and funny things to our daily life.

I usually use one media called WEIBO to find out what’s going on around me and my hometown.  I rarely read newspapers, because newspaper is no longer popular, most of it is through digital media like TV news or mobile news.

When I started to know and understand social media, one of the most popular media during that time was QQ, which is a useful application for people to chat and communicate and even share their daily life or thoughts. I found it is very interesting and convenient for me, because I can use it to contact my family and classmates whenever and wherever, as long as there is Internet. Gradually, the most used is WeChat, which I can use to contact my family and lovely friends, until now, I still use WeChat video call with my family, that feeling is like being around, even in Finland, but also let me feel warm.💖

  1. I agree with your view on how digital media provides a lot of information but can also make it hard to distinguish fact from fiction. Platforms like Weibo, QQ, and WeChat are great for staying connected with family and friends, especially through video calls. Digital media really helps bridge distances and keeps us informed and engaged with the world.

  5. Media has evolved to a point where we no longer have to wait weeks if not months for a reply from from our loved ones. Everything has become instantaneous.
